About the Event
This talk will address the impacts of the diet mentality, the pursuit of intentional weight loss, or poor body image on how we relate to food and engage in eating behaviors. You will learn about the intuitive eating principles and distinguishing between perfect rule-based eating and flexible imperfect eating. We will also talk about how our emotions have to do with how we eat and how to practice messiness and compassion when it comes to unlearning rigid ways of eating.
If you're entirely new to intuitive eating, or already on a journey, we hope this intro workshop provides you with perspective, a mindset shift, tangible tools, and guidance on how to reclaim a healthy relationship with food — one that's based on empowerment and tuning into how you feel, and not one that's dicated by fear, obsession, guilt, and shame.
